Unaccompanied minors moving to Philadelphia

VisionQuest will move a dozen male children aged 11 to 17 who have made their way from Central America across the southern border US to a location on Old York Road, just off North Broad Street in the Logan section of Philadelphia. They will start moving the minors in December and will consider gradually bringing up to 36 to the location, according to a company spokesperson.

Rep. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York) spoke with The PLS Reporter Thursday morning about taking on her new role as a state senator. 

This will be the first time that the 28th District will have a woman in their Senate seat and Phillips-Hill said she is humbled by the support she has received and ready to take on her new position.

VIDEO: DePasquale, legislators disappointed in unnecessary money spent by state river basin commissions

Auditor General Eugene DePasquale was joined by legislators today in expressing concern over the findings from audits of the Susquehanna River and Delaware River basin commissions.

DePasquale shared that there were thousands of taxpayer dollars being spent on unnecessary items. Among them, there was $1,000 spent on alcohol for meetings, over $16,000 spent on food for meetings and over $14,000 spent on what he considered questionable costs associated with employee perks.
