Cutler striving to "find a solution" to child sex abuse bill

House Majority Leader Bryan Cutler expressed optimism Tuesday that his chamber can “find a solution” to help resolve a contentious debate to give victims of child sex abuse the opportunity to file suit against their abusers.

Senators announce effort to streamline absentee voting, modernize election process

The package of bills include a constitutional amendment that would pave the way for “no excuse” absentee voting in the state, allowing voters to vote absentee for any reason. It also would allow voters more time in receiving their absentee ballot and require that ballots only be postmarked by the day before Election Day or returned to the County Elections Board on Election Day.
