Online wine? Rothman bill would allow online wine and beer delivery in Pa.

If you’ve ever wanted to order beer and wine alongside your groceries, a new proposal from Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) could be the answer. 

Rothman will soon be introducing legislation that would allow consumers to order wine and beer online and have it delivered to their home through a licensed transporter.

PLCB insists flexible pricing is a boon for Pennsylvania consumers but some lawmakers are skeptical

Looking to buy a bottle of scotch or a case of wine? Lawmakers are again set to dive into a continued dispute over whether Pennsylvania’s state-run liquor stores are giving consumers the best deal on those liquor products.

The controversy centers on the flexible pricing mechanism, introduced in Act 39 of 2016, which allows the state-run Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores to mark up products at its discretion. Previously it had to mark up all products at a flat 30 percent rate, regardless of a product’s cost.
