Auditor General: $4.25 billion in transfers to State Police has slowed road, bridge repairs

Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale announced Thursday that the state has transferred an estimated $4.25 billion from the state’s Motor License Fund to the Pennsylvania State Police since 2012, hindering efforts to repair roads and bridges across Pennsylvania.

DePasquale was flanked by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Secretary Leslie Richards near the Market Street Bridge in Harrisburg as he called for legislative fixes to how both PennDOT and the state police are funded.
