Wolf Administration demonstrates PA Business One-Stop Shop tool, hoping to help entrepreneurs and business owners

On Monday morning Department of Community and Economic Development Deputy Secretary for Business Finance Carol Kilko led a press conference where she discussed and demonstrated Governor Wolf's PA Business One-Stop Shop. 

This tool is designed to help entrepreneurs with running and planning a business, registration and permitting, hiring employees, and funding and technical assistance. It consolidates information from multiple agencies into one location to help entrepreneurs looking to start a business or for other help.

Auditor General: Jobs programs lack proper oversight

Auditor General Eugene DePasquale released a performance audit of grant programs in the Department of Community and Economic Development aimed at job creation, which found that accountability and transparency in the department in relation to the programs are lacking.

“These tools in the department that they have are important tools for job creation in Pennsylvania, I believe they do a good job there in the department,” DePasquale said. “They’ve done good work, and I think we just need to get better at it.”
