Municipal gun ordinance preemption bills get PA legislative spotlight

The Pennsylvania Senate Tuesday afternoon passed by a 34-16 vote a bill that would allow membership organizations such as the NRA to sue municipalities on behalf of aggrieved members over gun ordinances that are already preempted by state law.

 

The House considered amendments to similar legislation that was ultimately unchanged despite several dozen amendments being filed to the proposal.
