'Tierne's law' on domestic violence passes House, needs one more vote in Senate

By a unanimous vote Monday afternoon, “Tierne’s Law” — originally introduced as SB 449 by Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-Washington) — passed in the House. 

 

However, two other bills, SB 500, from Sen. Randy Vulakovich (R-Allegheny), and SB 919, from Sen. Arthur Haywood (D-Montgomery), both passed committee and are on the Senate’s calendar for the first day of session in over a month scheduled for next week

Tuesday's press events discussed new fracking violations laws, bills to strengthen PA's PFA laws, and more

Today at the Capitol members of the PennEnviornment Research and Policy center held a press conference to release a new report.

Also in the main rotunda there was the Fayette County Special Olympics contestants campaigned for “spread the word to end the word”.

Also, a group of senators unveiled four new bills that they are hoping offer more protection to victims of domestic abuse.
