Philadelphia Parking Authority talks amending powers to possibly give additional funding to city and school district

The Philadelphia Parking Authority implored the state legislature at a public hearing in Philadelphia Tuesday to alter state law so it can generate more money for both the city and the school district. 

To do this, the PPA wants the General Assembly to amend the current delegation of for cities of the first class, of which Philadelphia is the only one.

Auditor General slams payout to former PPA executive director

Auditor General Eugene DePasquale slammed a recent payout to former Philadelphia Parking Authority Executive Director Vincent Fenerty.

 

Fenerty stepped down in his post in September 2016 shortly before a likely vote by the PPA board to remove him from his position after allegations of sexual harassment on the part of Fenerty came to light earlier in the year.

Auditor General to audit Philadelphia Parking Authority

Auditor General Eugene DePasquale announced Monday that he will begin auditing the Philadelphia Parking Authority to determine the adherence to and the effectiveness of PPA’s employment policies and procedures, including policies and procedures related to prohibiting sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
