Following affordable housing debate, Pittsburgh city council looks to keep better track of tax credits

Following a year of bean counting to fund the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, a new bill proposed by two Pittsburgh City Council members is hoping to keep better track of the city’s development dollars. 

The bill, sponsored by Councilwoman Deb Gross (District 7) and Councilman Corey O’Connor (District 5) would require yearly audits by the City Controller’s office of the city’s tax credits and abatements.
