A new Markosek in town

After 36 years, former Rep. Joe Markosek (D-Allegheny) has left his seat in the legislature. Pennsylvania won't have to go without hearing the Markosek name in the Capitol though, because there is a new Markosek in town, Rep. Brandon Markosek (D-Allegheny). He was elected to serve in the same seat his father did and is ready to bring his own skills to the table.

Brandon Markosek remembers coming to swearing-in day from the time he was two years old to watch his father take the oath of office, but, on Jan. 1 their roles switched for the very first time.

Both Rep. Markoseks sat down to talk to The PLS Reporter about the emotional day, what serving in the state legislature means and legislative priorities - complete with some advice from father to son!
